Heard this on the radio (KIRO 710) today on the way to work:
Radio Host: So you believe in global warming?
Caller: Oh, yes. I mean, have you seen what's happening to Greenland? The ice is melting!
RH: Yes it is! Imagine how much damage that will do!
Dave: [Yells fruitlessly at car radio] And did it occur to EITHER of you that it's called GREENLAND because it USED TO BE GREEN and the Danish colonists USED TO FARM IT a few hundred years back??? AGHHHAGAHHHH!
Which is why I suppose it's not called "Whiteland" or something.
